Connect with McDonald's Eastern MA on Twitter.

Menu: Our Big Macs were prepared personally by Lou Provenzano, the owner of 13 McDonald's locations in MA.

  • Mike Langford and Jeff Cutler both had "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun." plus some fries, smoothies and an angus burger.
  • Jackson "ShortMan" Langford joined us once again and he got his noms on with a Happy Meal.

Topics:

McDonald's is part of the modern American culture through and through. We all have great memories of going to Micky D's as kids.

It was an honor to be invited to McDonald's. Through the Ronald McDonald House Charities franchisees like Lou have donated over $21 million to  help children and families in need.

  1. The Magic of McDonald's - The story of Ray Kroc and McDonald's is one of entrepreneurial lore that helped define a nation.
  2. McDonald's Tech - Always a leader in innovative technology. McDonald's continues to shape the future.
  3. Rant!! – Two rants about Jeff.

Special thanks to Bruce K Garber for being our impromptu cameraman for a day. GREAT JOB!!!

Menu:

  • Mike Langford ordered three mini burritos, Buffalo Chicken, Late November and a Classic Mexican Carnitas.
  • Jeff Cutler ordered three mini burritos, Buffalo Chicken, Late November and a The Summer Steak.
  • Jackson "ShortMan" Langford ordered the Peanut Butter Snack Wrap and a Mango Smoothie. Jackson also reject a PB&J Snack Wrap which Mike and Jeff were only happy to take care of for him. All in the name of creating good entertainment of course.

Topics:

  1. Movember! Once again this year we are raising money to defeat mens cancers. Please donate via either Mike’s MoSpace or Jeff’s MoSpace page. Boloco is also helping out by donating $0.25 per Late November burrito sold to Movember so please swing on by and get your noms on for a good cause.
  2. Burritos Are the Perfect Food - What's your favorite burrito?
  3. Dudes Love Gadgets – Jeff just got back from CES New York and had some cool stuff to share, including a DVR for radio and ski goggles that double as a fighter pilot-like heads up display. Mike on the other hand is dying to get his clicker hand on the Logitech Harmony One remote control.
  4. Rant!! – Jeff gets a parking ticket and then crashes into some safety cones on the expressway. And of course, it's someone else's fault.

Note: Jeff has since abandoned his John Waters-eque "Worst Mustache EVER!" and is growing something a little more mainstream.

Fajitas and Rita’s

Menu

  • Mike ordered Chicken Fajitas and  a Rita Cointreau Original ‘Rita with Sauza Hornitos tequila.
  • Jeff ordered the Beef Burrito and a Frozen Raspberry Rita with a “floater” on top.
  • We also ordered some tequila wings as an appetizer. BTW: These wings could arguably be the best wings in Boston.
  • Gradon ordered something and got his crunk on too but we can’t remember what it was.

Huge thanks to our editor Brian Schwartz who conquered major power outages and various family members squatting at his house to make this episode possible.

Conversation Topics

  1. Mini Rants – Mike goes a little crazy about people who eat hot dogs and burritos in the movies. He also marvels at Jeff’s George Costanza like parking luck.
  2. Apple’s iPad - Despite the limitations that have been illuminated by many tech writers we are both really excited about the iPad. Are you going to get one? Warning! Do not buy a used iPad. Watch to find out why.
  3. Shopping for Clothes - Despite his frequent use of the word “fabulous” Jeff does not like to shop for clothes. Mike on the other hand is an odd duck in that he loves clothes shopping.
  4. RANT! Inappropriate Use of Interruption Channels - Just because you happen to have someone’s cell phone number or instant messaging account doesn’t mean you have been given permission to use it.

Conversation Topics

1. Bundling – Sometimes bundling of services makes sense and sometimes…not so much.

2. Happy Birthday Internet! – The internet turned 40 on Oct 3oth. Like many things it was born out of the unintended utility of something else.

3. Channel Discrimination – On one channel it’s a free service and on another it’s a paid service. What?

4. Movember – We are letting our Mo grow to raise money for a cure for prostate cancer.

As Mike Langford and Jeff Cutler have determined, it’s far better to eat lunch out with friends than it is to sit at your desk and eat a yogurt. That’s the premise behind NomX3 – Let’s Do Lunch!

Somehow it seems that the high-end restaurants bring out the best in studio audiences. We video the show live – which means we often have our Livestream feed going – and we do the show in one take without revised shots. Except for when I – Jeff Cutler – mess up the intro or the farewell.

Take a moment to watch the show and tell us what you think. Did I mess it up?

At Mooo on Beacon Hill, the pattern persisted. Some great food for Lunch and a massive studio audience made for a fantastic video program. Lunch was a success that day and my favorite memories were the tuna tartare and the beverages.

Thanks to those who show up week after week to see NomX3 do lunch. Good food is only the start – great conversation is the real sustinence behind NomX3.

  • Gretchen Kinder – Clown Face added another component of calm in a frenetic and exciting evening. With stints at the check-in table, drink-ticket station and break-down, her help was much appreciated.
